When you look up the word untamed in the dictionary, you’ll probably find something along the lines of ‘not tamed, out of control’. When you look at photos of any car that has worn the famous ‘UNTAMD’ plates, you’ll probably be wondering how they keep building the best of the best! Brothers Vez & Watty have been building cars for over 10 years and know just what it takes to build a serious respect gainer.
When Vez decided he wanted to build a PRO RX8 full tube drag car, he wasn’t mucking around. As well as building the RX8, he wanted to tow it in style. When this Holden SSZ popped up for sale, Vez knew he had a project on his hands. Now dressed in candy brandy wine paint with custom graphics, sitting on 22 inch wheels and sporting an air bag suspension setup, to say the car has come a long way is an understatement.
The build was started when Vez sent the car into Miki at 2 FREAK U OUT Custom Resprays. With Vez building plenty of top quality cars in the past, Miki knew the bar was at a high standard and produced another top quality paint job. MFX were responsible for the custom graphics along the side of the car and again produced top of the line work. The 22 inch wheels were ordered and the car was then off to Air Ride Suspension Supplies to have to air bag suspension fitted. With all these top class companies doing their part on the car and plenty of help from close mates, the car is faultless as you can see in the photos.
Whilst the full tube RX8 drag car is awaiting the chassis to be built, Vez has been working on his newly launched business. Five Star Transport Solutions is his new towing business.
