When you talk about latest phases, you could say Ed Hardy is up there with the most popular. When you talk about the most prestigious paint and panel shops in Australia, you could Queen St Smash is up there with the best. When the Ibrahim brothers from Queen St have a spare Mazda RX7 lying around, well the result speaks for itself.
When Mohamed contacted me about doing a shoot at the shop with some nice cars and fine women, how could I say no? Little did I know he had organized the likes of his Ed Hardy themed Mazda RX7, Ben’s ‘QSRX8’ Mazda RX8, Tony’s freshly painted ‘BLE5SD’ Honda S2000, Sunny’s ‘QSRXXX’ Porsche Boxster along with his 7 sec 20BT BMW M3 drag car, Andy’s 2-tone Commodore and the ‘EZYWAY’ twin turbo VE SS Ute. Oh and did I mention some fine women were on hand to compliment the cars?
The whole day went smoothly with the boys rolling the cars in and out of the showroom for their turn in front of the camera. Mohamed’s Ed Hardy themed RX7 being the main attraction was rolled in first and the photos began. Alyce, Courtney and Abby complimented the cars all day by posing in different outfits as you can see in the gallery. Once all the cars were photographed, it was time for some fun.
Within 10 minutes of the last car being photographed, the camera came back out when a tow truck reversed up in the driveway carrying Mohamed’s 20BT BMW drag car. The car was rolled off the tow truck and onto the showroom floor for some happy snaps. When Mohamed hopped in the driver’s seat and reached for the power button, I knew we were in for some serious fun. A showroom full of people, a methanol powered 20BT BMW, and the wild mind of Mohamed? I can tell you there were a lot of watery eyes and sore ears to conclude the day.
